Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
GRUBLE Technologies, Inc. (“Gruble”, “we”, “us”) is a Virginia corporation at 612 Alexander Lee Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188. We are the developer and operator of the Gruble platform: the Gruble mobile app, white-label apps powered by Gruble (such as the TCCE app), the Gruble web portal and this website. Questions about this policy: support@grubletech.com.
2. Information we collect
Account information. Name, phone number, email address, company, role (contractor, broker, driver, foreman) and, for drivers and brokers, the compliance documents a project requires: driver’s licence, USDOT number, vehicle registration and insurance details, and photographs of those documents.
Location. While you are signed on to a shift the app records your device’s location, including in the background, so that the project can see where its trucks and assets are and so that each Load, Dump and status press is stamped with a position. Location is not collected when you are not on a shift. You can withdraw location permission in your phone’s settings, but the app cannot record shifts without it.
Ticket and job data. Shifts accepted, statuses pressed and their times, photographs you take in the app (loads, dumps, tickets, assets, defects), notes, tonnage and cycle data, and the sites and geozones involved.
Payment information. To pay brokers and drivers we use a third-party payment provider (currently Checkbook.io). Bank account details you provide are collected and stored by that provider under its own privacy terms; Gruble holds the transaction records.
Communications. Messages, calls and SMS between you and Gruble or the other parties to a job, and support requests you send us.
Device and usage. Device type, operating system, app version, identifiers used for push notifications, crash reports and log data. On this website, standard analytics and cookies as described in section 8.
3. How we use it
- To run the platform: dispatch shifts, track trucks and assets, produce digital tickets, and calculate and make payments.
- To give the contractor, broker and driver on a job the same record of what happened, and to resolve disputes from that record.
- To meet the compliance requirements of the projects you work on (licences, insurance, DOT).
- To detect fraud, duplicate tickets and misuse of the platform.
- To send you operational messages about your shifts, tickets and account, and — if you have agreed — news about the platform.
- To support you, improve the platform and meet our legal obligations.
4. Who we share it with
The other parties to your job. Gruble exists to give contractors, brokers and drivers one shared record. Your name, company, vehicle, location during a shift, ticket data and photographs are visible to the contractor and broker on the jobs you work, and to the project’s administrators.
Service providers. Hosting, mapping, SMS and push notification services, payment processing (Checkbook.io), analytics and support tools, each bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.
White-label operators. If you use a Gruble-powered app branded for a specific company, that company is the operator of that app and can see the data recorded on its projects.
Legal. Where required by law, regulation, legal process or to protect the rights, property or safety of Gruble, our users or the public.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
5. How long we keep it
Ticket, location and payment records are business records for the projects they belong to and are kept for as long as the project and its financial and legal retention periods require — typically seven years for payment records. Account information is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account (section 7) your personal profile is removed from active systems; ticket records that other parties rely on are retained with your name reduced to what the project record requires.
6. Your choices
- Location: control it in your phone’s settings; it is only recorded during shifts.
- Messages: operational messages about your shifts and account are part of the service; marketing messages can be stopped at any time — see Unsubscribe.
- Access and correction: you can see and edit your profile in the app; for anything else, email support@grubletech.com.
- Deletion: see section 7.
7. Deleting your account
You can request permanent deletion of your account at any time from the Delete Account page or by emailing delete@grubletech.com with the subject “Account Deletion Request”. Deletion is irreversible. We may retain limited information where required for legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention, security or financial record-keeping purposes.
8. Cookies and this website
This website uses essential cookies to work and may use analytics cookies to understand traffic. The apps do not use advertising cookies or trackers.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation, contact us immediately.
10. Children
The platform is for working adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11. Your rights under state law
Depending on where you live (including Virginia under the VCDPA and California under the CCPA) you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to obtain a copy of it, and to opt out of certain processing. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. To exercise a right, email support@grubletech.com; we will verify your identity and respond within the time the law allows. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response.
12. Changes
We will post changes to this policy here with a new effective date and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
